2026 Royal Enfield Bear 650
Scrambler Attitude. 650 Twin Muscle.
Built with one eye on Royal Enfield’s racing past and the other firmly on the road ahead, the 2026 Royal Enfield Bear 650 brings genuine scrambler attitude to the brand’s proven 650 Twin platform.
At its heart is Royal Enfield’s 648cc parallel-twin engine, tuned to produce 34.9kW and an increased 56.5Nm of torque. A freer-flowing 2-into-1 exhaust helps deliver around 8% more peak torque than Royal Enfield’s other 650 Twin models, while also reducing mass and giving the Bear its own distinctive soundtrack.
But the Bear is far more than a styling exercise. A 43mm upside-down fork, increased suspension travel, 184mm ground clearance, 19-inch front and 17-inch rear spoked wheels, chunky dual-purpose tyres and switchable dual-channel ABS give it the hardware to confidently tackle broken tar, gravel roads and loose surfaces.
Add wide handlebars, a spacious riding position and Royal Enfield’s full-colour Tripper Dash, and you have a scrambler that’s just as happy carving through the Midlands as it is finding out where that gravel road goes.
Available in the following colours:
Boardwalk White: R141,700
Wild Honey: R141,700
Golden Shadow: R141,700
Two Four Nine: R143,700
Key Highlights:
- 648cc Parallel-Twin Engine: Royal Enfield’s proven air/oil-cooled twin produces 34.9kW and a substantial 56.5Nm of torque, giving the Bear strong, usable performance throughout the rev range.
- More Torque: The Bear delivers approximately 8% more peak torque than Royal Enfield’s other 650 Twin models, giving it extra punch where a scrambler needs it most.
- 2-Into-1 Exhaust: A compact single-silencer system reduces mass, centralises weight and contributes to the Bear’s increased torque and distinctive exhaust note.
- 43mm USD Front Fork: An upside-down front fork with 130mm of travel provides greater control across rough tar, gravel and uneven surfaces.
- Increased Rear Travel: Twin rear shocks provide 115mm of travel, complementing the Bear’s more adventurous setup.
- 184mm Ground Clearance: Extra clearance makes the Bear better equipped for rougher roads and light off-tar exploration.
- 19-inch Front / 17-inch Rear Wheels: Spoked wheels and bespoke chunky dual-purpose tyres provide added grip on loose surfaces without sacrificing confidence on tar.
- Switchable Dual-Channel ABS: ABS can be switched to suit loose-surface riding, giving riders greater control when leaving the tar behind.
- Tripper Dash: The 4-inch round TFT display offers smartphone connectivity, full-map navigation powered by Google Maps and media controls.
- Full LED Lighting: LED headlight, tail light and indicators give the Bear a modern edge and mark a first for Royal Enfield’s 650 Twin platform.
- Scrambler Riding Position: A wide handlebar, spacious rider triangle and bench-style seat are designed to work whether you’re sitting through the bends or standing when the surface gets loose.
- Competition-Inspired Styling: The number-board design pays tribute to Eddie Mulder’s victory aboard a Royal Enfield at the legendary 1960 Big Bear Run.

Who Is the Bear 650 For?
The Bear 650 is for riders who like their roads with a few imperfections.
Compared with the road-focused Interceptor 650, the Bear gets more torque, more suspension travel, greater ground clearance, dual-purpose tyres, a 19-inch front wheel and switchable ABS. That makes it an appealing option for riders who spend most of their time on tar but don’t want to turn around when the surface changes.
It’s not designed to replace a dedicated adventure or enduro motorcycle. Instead, it occupies that sweet spot between roadster and scrambler – comfortable enough for everyday riding, entertaining through the twisties and capable enough to explore gravel roads, farm tracks and less-than-perfect back roads.
And with 56.5Nm on tap, it’s currently the torquiest interpretation of Royal Enfield’s 650 Twin platform.
Tar optional. Good roads definitely optional.
