Built for All Roads. And No Roads.

Some motorcycles are designed around a destination. The 2026 Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 is designed around everything that happens getting there.

Purpose-built for adventure, the latest Himalayan combines Royal Enfield's rugged, go-anywhere philosophy with an entirely modern platform. At its heart is the 451.65cc liquid-cooled Sherpa engine, producing 29.44kW and 40Nm of torque through a 6-speed gearbox – giving the Himalayan the performance to comfortably tackle highways, mountain passes, gravel roads and technical trails.

A steel twin-spar chassis, 200mm of suspension travel front and rear, 230mm ground clearance and the proven adventure combination of a 21-inch front and 17-inch rear wheel give it genuine off-road credentials. Add ride-by-wire, selectable riding modes, switchable ABS and Royal Enfield's impressive full-colour Tripper TFT navigation display, and the Himalayan is just as modern as it is capable.

Simple enough to explore with confidence. Tough enough to keep going when the road doesn't.

*Available in the following colours:

Key Highlights:

  • 451.65cc Sherpa Engine: Royal Enfield's liquid-cooled, DOHC single-cylinder engine produces 29.44kW and 40Nm, delivering strong, usable performance for both road and off-road riding.

  • Ride-by-Wire Throttle: Electronic throttle control delivers smooth fuelling while enabling multiple riding modes to adapt the motorcycle to changing conditions.

  • Four Riding Modes: Adjust the Himalayan's response to suit the terrain, conditions and riding style.

  • 6-Speed Gearbox: A six-speed transmission gives the Himalayan the flexibility required for everything from slower technical riding to open-road touring.

  • Slip & Assist Clutch: Reduces clutch effort while helping to keep aggressive downshifts smooth and controlled.

  • Showa Adventure Suspension: A 43mm upside-down front fork and linkage-type rear monoshock provide a generous 200mm of wheel travel at both ends.

  • 230mm Ground Clearance: Serious clearance gives the Himalayan greater confidence over rocks, ruts, river crossings and rough tracks.

  • 21-inch Front / 17-inch Rear Wheels: A proven adventure-bike combination provides stability and predictable handling across tar, gravel and loose terrain.

  • Switchable Dual-Channel ABS: Dual-channel ABS provides reassurance on the road, with switchability allowing greater control when riding on sand, gravel and loose surfaces.

  • Adjustable Seat Height: The standard two-piece seat can be adjusted between 825mm and 845mm, while an optional low seat reduces this to 805–825mm.

  • 4-inch Tripper TFT: A full-colour circular TFT display offers smartphone connectivity, media controls and full-map navigation powered by Google Maps.

  • 17-Litre Fuel Tank: Generous capacity and efficient performance allow more exploration between fuel stops.

  • Full LED Lighting: LED lighting front and rear provides modern visibility while complementing the Himalayan's purposeful design.

  • USB Type-C Charging: Convenient onboard charging keeps compatible navigation and communication devices powered.

  • Adventure-Ready Ergonomics: Wide handlebars, large enduro footpegs and a narrow seat/tank junction make it comfortable whether you're seated on the highway or standing through technical terrain.

  • High-Mounted Air Intake: Designed with river crossings and adventure riding in mind, the intake is positioned high beneath the tank to improve water-wading capability.
